About the Team: The ByteDance Global Payment organization provides payment solutions to ensure that users have a smooth and secure payment experience across ByteDance's platforms and services. The Global Payment Partnership and General Management Office team holds the responsibilities to optimize payment infrastructure, fortify strategic partnership, gain global reach and enable localization, evolve and enhance payment strategy and roadmap through industry and market research, drive organizational efficiency through data-driven feedback loops in project management and resource planning. We are seeking a LATAM Financial Services Partnership Lead for our Global Payment Partnership and General Management Office team. This role will play a key part in driving business growth through providing inclusive and high-quality financial services and solutions to ByteDance/TikTok platform users. You will contribute to the development of industry-leading financial services products and capabilities to support the business expansion roadmap in LATAM region. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver on a dynamic set of needs in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Initiate and deepen financial services partnerships with Global and LATAM fintechs and banks. - Identify and negotiate the best BNPL, seller financing, eCommerce related insurance and other financial services solutions. - Analyze LATAM payment market development and regulatory trends. - Responsible for rolling out financial services for TikTok Shop buyers and sellers as TikTok Shop expands to new countries in LATAM. - Work closely with ByteDance / TikTok LATAM teams to understand regionalized needs and proactively work on solutions to support business growth. - Ensure excellent external communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services, taking into account market specificities (regulation, competition, etc.) - Responsible for regular reporting to cross-functional stakeholders on P&L performance and user impacts, including key metrics, trends, deep dives and actionable improvement recommendations. - Compare ByteDance/TitTok's performance against industry best practices, inject new perspectives with a shrewd eye toward identifying performance and/or profitability improvement opportunities. - Ensure data-driven decision-making is a priority for the team, colleagues, and other internal stakeholders. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify financial services opportunities and develop solution roadmaps. Cultivate cross-functional partnership that facilitates the advancement of holistic strategic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 5 years of work experience with a Ph.D. - Ability to manage P&L performance (revenue and operating margin) including sales performance, direct and demand-driven costs to budget and overseeing budget setting across the verticals. - Experience in payments, e-money or wallet products/services, banking functions, risk management, and/or merchant processing. - Ability to communicate, in a timely manner, with the Board/Senior management team on financial performance and to provide high-quality, impartial information to enable decision-making in a regulated environment. - Ability to pursue new business opportunities, in support of P&L strategies and P&L performance and to create and execute a strategy across customers. Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of financial services partnership experience at fintechs, technology and/or marketplace companies. - 5+ years of work experience in credit risk, payment risk, or consumer lending areas. - In-depth understanding of LATAM and global financial services industry and trends. - Experience in launching self-operated financial businesses across LATAM, China, or South East Asia markets. - A strong balance of both strategic planning and an hands-on approach is a must. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution and leading from the front. - Possess a relentless, user-centric and result-driven mindset coupled with strong problem-solving skills and an ability to break down complex problems and propose alternative, new ways of thinking. Manage ambiguity and anticipate the impact of decisions/initiatives. - Intellectually curious and analytically rigorous.
